How does a retained search firm work
A client company retains us to recruit candidates to fill specific positions within their organization and pays us a fee for our services. We do not represent individuals who are looking for a new job. Rather, we recruit targeted individuals on behalf of our clients. Please note that we treat all recruiting calls, interviews, etc, with complete confidentiality, as required.

When will I be contacted?
Upon receiving your information (resume and/or biographical material), it is reviewed by our research team. If your background is suitably matched to any of our current engagements, the consultant responsible for the specific assignment will contact you. If no current search aligns with your background, your resume is entered into our database for future consideration. We apologize that, due to our responsibilities to our clients, we are unable to communicate directly with everyone who sends in a resume. Be assured, however, that your information is available to the entire staff. Also, we encourage you to submit updated information to us at least once a year.

When can I meet with a consultant?
Due to our time constraints in meeting with clients and candidates, as well as recruiting for our active assignments, we are unable to meet with individuals as part of the process of submitting your information. A personal meeting will usually take place when you have been identified by one of our consultants as a prospective candidate for a search that has been activated in your area of expertise.

Am I a viable candidate?
If you earn over $100,000 annually or are at a senior management level, it is probable that you will qualify in terms of the level of potential candidates we seek. Because we have been recruiting for the entertainment industry for over 18 years and the new media sector for five years, we have covered more territory in various corners of the universe than any competitor. Check out our Clientele for a list of the types of companies for which we conduct searches and Search Assignments for a list of the various functions we cover.

How do I submit my information to you?
We prefer an electronic version of your resume, sent as an attached file (Word.doc). A cover note, which includes the type of position you seek and salary level you require, regions you prefer to reside, references, and any other pertinent information is also helpful. Submit Your Resume. Alternatively, you may also fax your resume to 310-286-0479, attention: Research Department.
